Friendship

Friendship is defined as the relationship between people who are friends.  Being a friend is feeling affection for somebody else. In my opinion being friendly is inherited on human race, because it is impossible for us living separated of the rest of the society. Humans are sociable naturally, for that reason it is important to have friends that share important moments with us. Having friends is an election because we selected them contrary with our relatives who we just born with. If we are fortunate to have friends we need to take care of them. 

A Problem in Our Society

Without any doubt, a big problem that affects our society is Air Pollution. This problem has been increased because of the way we live nowadays.  Mostly, air is being polluted in urban areas where there are many sources of smog. The places where we find the highest levels of smog are in big cities like Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara. The characteristics in those places are: overpopulation, too many cars and industry. Not only the cars but also the factories produce a lot of smog that contaminate the fresh air.

An effect of Air Pollution is illness on human respiratory system, another effect is on the health of animals like birds. These effects are in small scale, but also there are some effects in large scale like Greenhouse Effect which heat is unable to escape from the atmosphere and causes the temperature of the Earth to rise[1].  And the consequence is Global Warming. 

 

This is a big problem that affects us as a society, but not only nowadays also affects the new generations. If we don’t do something to solve it, our children will suffer the consequences. One thing to do about it is to use less our cars and use public transportation. Another way to reduce the air pollution is to change the way factories expel their smoke. Efforts to solve the problem have done yet, for example the government of Mexico City implemented a program called “Hoy no circula”. The program works with a distinctive color in the license plate, for example: red, green and yellow. The government says the cars with red color in their license plates don’t circulate today. In that way a lot of smog isn’t being produced by cars.

It is a smart solution, isn’t it?

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

Though The Adventures of Tom Sawyer was written many years ago, nowadays it continues being one of the most favorite stories around the world.

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a book about a boy who is hyperactive and sometimes a troublemaker. In the first pages at the story we can read about simple tricks that Tom does to Polly (Tom’s aunt). Trough the story we can notice that Tom’s tricks becomes a serious troubles. Despite his attitude, he always succeeds the adversity. At the end of the story Tom Sawyer is happy with her friend Huck both as rich people.

Personally I enjoyed reading Adventures of Tom Sawyer because is a simple story that makes you interested in the plot of that. In my opinion the best part of the story it’s when Tom gets Jim Ben whitewashes a fence. On that occasion, Tom shows us how smart he is deceiving his friend.

Rise of the Planet of the  Apes

This excellent movie could be an explanation of the movie “Planet of the Apes” aired in 1968, in which there is a world where simians were in charge and the people were in cages. 

Now in 2011, the movie “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” shows us how that unexpected world started. First of all, Bright Eyes (a chimpanzee) is captured in a teeming jungle and brought back to San Francisco California to be part of an experiment being run by Will Rodman a scientist who works at Gen-Sys a pharmaceutical corporation.

Then, the ALZ-112 a drug that could be a cure for Alzheimer’s ALZ-112 is proved in Bright Eyes who improves its cognitive skills. Unfortunately, Bright Eyes dies protecting its son who inherited its extraordinary intelligence. Soon Caesar the Bright Eyes’ son leaded the rebellion of apes vs. humans.  

Personally, I enjoyed this movie very much, because the story is not only about the experiments on apes, but also is about the relationship between humans and animals.  The story plot shows us how this intelligent chimpanzee lives in a human home, grows up like a member of the family, also as  Will’s son. For me, that is the best part of the plot.  

I don’t have anything negative to say about the Rise of the Planet of Apes, because I really enjoyed it. The story is excellent and well acted, both by stars like James Franco and John Lithgow.I really recommend this movie, if you go to the movies this weekend to watch “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”, you will enjoy an excellent moment.
